{geni:about_me} From business associate Friedrich GUTH's*** memoir:
"While still with the Ministry of War, I met Dr. Hornik of the Ministry of Finance. He had been assigned to the Ministry of War to supervise expenditure cuts. Immediately following the collapse of the empire, he initiated the formation of an international commission which was to clarify contractual conditions with purveying firms. All newly formed countries were represented on this commission. Dr. Hornik asked me to assist him with this work. The pay was good, even with rising inflation, and I could keep in touch with different industries as well as with the representatives of the finance departments of different nations.
During that time, I met Georg Eissler, a nephew of the industrialist Manfred Weiss, who was the Krupp of Hungary. Georg Eissler was an engineer representing the Manfred Weiss interests at the Austrian Warchalowski works in Ottakring where airplane engines of the Hiero type were built. When I asked for documents to use for verification, Eissler excused himself, saying that there were no records. He asked me to use my judgment. He expressed full confidence in me and said that he would leave determination of costs up to me. I mention Georg Eissler because our paths crossed later in Buenos Aires. Mr. Bräuer, who was assistant to Perczel and an engineer at Ganz-Danubius in Budapest, told him I was living in Buenos Aires. That's how contact was restored."
