Feladványszerzőként a Feladványantológia is jelentős szerzőként mutatja be. 11 lépéses önmattját ma is idézik.
"Lawyer (has completed studies in Vienna), advocate, freemason. From 1868 onwards, member of the Chess Circle of Pest (CCP); he then has won within two years two events. In years 1871 – 1877 he is advocate at Pápa, but he returns to Pest and brings new life into CCP. In 1878 first/second with Fahndrich; in 1880 he wins in an event for two persons against Vidor, in years 1882 – 84 he is first ex aequo, second, then first. - Then he, of course, is mainly occupied by his business activity, but it is worth mentioning that Géza Maróczy, Olympic chess champion (1870-1952, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G% C3% A9za_Mar% C3% B3czy) he like his teacher mentions. - He is active in organizing events, amongst others he was one of the key persons in setting up the “Millineum Championship”. In 1909 he becomes elected by the CCP as a honorary president. He is also introduced by the examples creating committee as an important inventor of new examples. Even today, the example, how one can get to a “suicide mat” in 11 movements is quoted. The example he has created with Otto Titusz Bláthy (see further “Magyar Sakkvilàg”, 1912), can only be shown here; the chess programs do not tolerate it."
